Unless you’ve been deliberately (and understandably) off the grid, you’re probably now aware of the fact that a bonanza of Fauci e-mails has revealed his rather intriguing behind the scenes sentiments.
In particular those that ran directly counter to his public remarks.
However, you’d never know that if you were to only listen to Ms. Psaki, who resumed her role of shamelessly cheerleading for developments that should never be cheered.
“He’s been an undeniable asset in our country’s pandemic response … It’s obviously not that advantageous for me to relitigate the substance of emails from 17 months ago.” [Source: Fox News]
Well, thanks for one of the more truthful statements you’ve made, Ms. Psaki, as it clearly would not be “advantageous” for you to go against the Harris-Biden-Obama administration’s commands, regardless of how far from reality your official statements ultimately end up becoming as a result.
And, as far as the “undeniable asset” remark is concerned, it is safe to say that the use of this particular word is highly questionable. Especially considering the content of some of his e-mails, such as the one in which he effectively disavows masks … In February 2020.
“Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection. The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through material … do not recommend that you wear a mask.” [Source: Fox News]
Well, that’s nice. Is that e-mail an example of the “undeniable asset” Fauci has been, Ms. Psaki?
One thing is for certain: He has been an “undeniable asset” for Democrat governors to assume to role of mini-dictators who are in zero hurry to give up their power, or, for that matter, even open up the economy.
Fortunately (for now at least), other voices aside from Psaki’s have joined the commentary regarding Fauci, and it is safe to say that these voices are not even remotely interesting in cheerleading.
Instead, they’re interested in the truth.
For instance, House GOP Whip Steve Scalise, who is also the top GOP representative on the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, along with James Comer, who serves as a House Oversight member, penned a letter in which they called for Fauci to testify about the content of the publicized e-mails.
“More importantly, the emails contain new evidence regarding the origins of COVID-19, including the possibility it leaked from a U.S. taxpayer funded laboratory …
It is now imperative that Dr. Fauci come before our Committees to provide information related to the origins of the novel coronavirus as well as the U.S. government’s role in funding research that may have contributed to the development of the novel coronavirus … The American people have a right to know what our government knew about the origins of the pandemic and when it was known.” [Source: Fox News]
The American people also have a right to know why they’ve been effectively imprisoned in their homes and behind masks, especially when Fauci himself openly disputed the value of masks in writing.
Scalise and Comer also called out Fauci’s apparent subservience to the CCP, given that Fauci was one of the most vocally opposed individuals to the lab leak theory. Even though he is now no longer “convinced” that COVID has natural origins, a convenient shift in viewpoint now that Biden is in power.
Moreover, Scalise and Comer are not the only individuals calling out Fauci; Tucker Carlson has also used his platform to amplify attention to the fact that Fauci openly deceived the American public, which is especially concerning after he engendered significant trust from the nation.
“The utter fraudulence of Tony Fauci is obvious now and it’s widely acknowledged, but it was not always obvious. In March of last year, we interviewed Fauci on this show. We treated him with respect. We took his answer seriously …
More shocking than that, we then learned that Fauci himself was implicated in the very pandemic he had been charged with fighting. Fauci supported the grotesque and dangerous experiments that appeared to have made COVID possible … E-mails prove that Fauci lied about this under oath.” [Source: Breitbart]
Now, the question is, will Fauci be held even remotely accountable in an administration clearly allergic to accountability?
Holding one’s breath while waiting for accountability is not recommended …
