In case you missed the most recent bit of news regarding Pelosi’s renewed witch hunt, it is understandable, given the current sea of media stories surrounding the anti-American Olympian, who is clearly angling to become Colin Kaepernick 2.0 in more than one way.
Pelosi very recently announced the formation of a commission for the events of January 6, and she managed to do so in such a way that she could circumvent the Senate while simultaneously avoiding the need for any Republican votes in favor of establishing such a polarizing, divisive community.
Apparently, Pelosi could do so through creating a “select panel.”
Even more apparently, the swamp clearly has a dictionary of nonsense words and phrases that it can trot out at any time it doesn’t get its nefarious way.
However, as it turns out, Pelosi not only was able to bypass the need for Republican support, she actually has a supposed Republican serving as a driving force on her little committee.
And that driving force is none other than embittered Liz Cheney, who apparently won’t let her burning antipathy towards Trump be overridden by anything else, including basic common sense and logic.
“I’m honored to have been named to serve on the January 6th select committee. Congress is obligated to conduct a full investigation of the most serious attack on our Capitol since 1814. That day saw the most sacred space in our Republic overrun by an angry and violent mob attempting to stop the counting of electoral votes and threatening the peaceful transfer of power.” [Source: U.S. House of Representatives]
Well, in spite of being stripped from her leadership responsibilities in the House, not to mention the fact that she completely alienated the Americans that she is presumably representing, Liz Cheney apparently feels no qualms whatsoever about aligning herself with Pelosi, who has clearly gone stark, raving mad in her obsession with Trump.
While Pelosi’s behavior is really not terribly surprising, given that she has long since divorced herself from the needs and concerns of the average, everyday American, Cheney’s decision to directly ally herself with yet another one of Pelosi’s witch hunts reveals the extent to which she herself has become subsumed in partisan politics.
Which would explain her rather dramatic statement listed on the U.S. House of Representatives’ official webpage.
“What happened on January 6th can never happen again. Those who are responsible for the attack need to be held accountable and this select committee will fulfill that responsibility in a professional, expeditious, and non-partisan manner.”[Source: U.S. House of Representatives]
Here we go again with the hyperbolic sentiments.
What happened on January 6, 2021 is not even remotely comparable to September 11, 2011, in spite of Democrats’ most pathetic efforts to make the events one and the same.
Then again, since Ms. Ilhan Omar, the ever-virulent “Squad” member, continues to draw false equivalencies between the Israeli government and terrorist organizations, it would make sense that the Democrats draw equally grotesque equivalencies between January 6 and September 11.
“Our oath to the Constitution, our commitment to the rule of law, and the preservation of the peaceful transfer of power must always be above partisan politics.”[Source: U.S. House of Representatives]
Wow, so now Cheney is dragging in the Constitution, which she seems only moderately interesting in referring to … when it suits her. Which is likely why her reference to the Constitution was a rather ill-formed decision,
Would that be the same “oath” that also involves not launching a massive impeachment suit against a private citizen?
Last time anyone checked, impeaching a private citizen appears nowhere in the Constitution (nor in any “rule of law,” for that matter), yet Cheney apparently felt so compelled to side with the Democrats that she voted in favor of impeaching Trump, who was at that point a private citizen, anyway.
And all of the above is operating on whether or not said private citizen even committed any crimes in the first place, which Trump decidedly did not.
And as for the need to always remain “above partisan politics?”
Tell that to the entire world that you openly lied to over Iraq, not to mention the American families who sent their children into Iraq to fight a war manufactured by the Cheney crew in the first place.
The same war that undoubtedly helped supremely anti-American Obama rise to power in the first place, whose horrific administration literally continues to impact the United States to this day.
