Currently, rumors are swirling that Dr. Anthony Fauci lied to Congress regard whether or not the American government funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute, where the COVID pandemic is widely believed to have originated from. However, major media channels have yet to cover the recent documents that reveal Fauci’s potential dishonesty.
During his testimony on Capitol Hill, Fauci repeatedly denied that the National Institutes of Health provided any funding towards gain-of-function research in Wuhan. However, The Intercept recently published a story that revealed the American government spent $3.1M on the American health organization, EcoHealth Alliance, in order to study bat coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. In addition, nearly $600,000 of that $3.1M was used for finding and manipulating bat coronaviruses that could easily infect humans.
The Intercept based its findings on hundreds of pages that had been sourced from the Freedom of Information Act. However, in spite of the bombshell, fact-based report released by The Intercept, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, and CNN have all declined to cover the story, in spite of its serious implications.
Fauci had even made an appearance on both CNN and MSNBC during this time period, though neither channel brought up the revelations from The Intercept.
In addition, other print publications, including The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Associated Press, USA Today, Axios, and others, also declined to cover the report.
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), who has long been at odds with Fauci over COVID, reacted strongly to the report. Rand released a tweet indicating that Fauci “lied again.” Other lawmakers, including Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Representative Mike Gallagher (R-WI), have also called for Fauci to resign.
In spite of these representatives’ calls for resignation, the vast majority of mainstream media has ignored all the revelations regarding Fauci and gain-of-function research funds.
The media also covered up for Biden recently, mainly by ignoring the leaked phone call scripts from July wherein Biden begged then-Afghan President Ghani to portray a “perception” of stability in Afghanistan, whether or not it is “true,” in advance of the Taliban’s imminent takeover of the nation.
