Biden Goes To War With The FDA, See Why…

So much for “following the science.”

Last fall, one of the driving themes of Biden’s basement campaigning strategy included criticizing Trump’s apparently poor response to COVID (in spite of the fact Trump produced vaccines Democrats are pushing now) and emphasizing how “his” administration would follow the science.

Apparently, Biden has forgotten all about following the science, given that he has openly pushed booster shots on the entirety of the vaccinated American population, well before the FDA has indicated any sort of approval.

However, Biden stampeded forward with his “plan” for booster shots anyway.

“The plan is for every adult to get a booster shot eight months after you got your second shot pending approval from the Food and Drug Administration, the CDC’s committee of outside experts will be ready to start these boosters — this booster program during the week of September 20.” [Source: Breitbart]

Well, that’s a heck of a way to deliver an announcement on booster shots.

“Hey, Americans! I’m pushing booster shots that have yet to be validated by science, or may not even be validated by science, but I’m openly pushing the FDA to forcibly validate these booster shots by publicly announcing I’m waiting on them!”

After all, that’s effectively what Biden said in his statement.

And, hilariously enough, as it turns out, the science does not “validate” the need for the entire American population to receive boosters.

On the contrary, it was recently determined that booster shots are not appropriate, unless someone is over the age of 65 or suffers from a severely immunocompromised state.

However, Dr. Francis Collins, the Director of the National Institutes of Health, which is infamously aligned with Fauci, apparently thinks that booster shots will eventually be approved for all since the “initiation” of boosters for the vulnerable was approved.

“I think the big news is that they did approve the initiation of boosters … Remember, they’re taking a snapshot of right now, we’re going to see what happens in the coming weeks. It would surprise me if it does not become clear over the next few weeks that the administration of boosters may need to be enlarged. Based upon the data that we’ve already seen both in the U.S. and in Israel, it’s clear that the waning of the effectiveness of those vaccines is a reality and we need to respond to it.” [Source: Breitbart]

It’s pretty clear that the Biden administration is going to continue bullying the FDA until it gives them the political optics they want, health consequences be damned.

In fact, even fictional news seems to be somewhat questioning the Biden administration’s approach, judging from Jake Tapper’s recent inquiry to Dr. Fauci.

“The FDA’s former chief scientist told CNN Friday that Biden was making that announcement ahead of time. Before the FDA and the CDC made, theirs was, quote, ‘Backwards and not helpful and at the very least,’ even though he did say appending approval. This is causing more confusion. Was it a mistake for the president to announce this before the FDA and CDC issued their guidance?” [Source: Breitbart]

In other words, CNN is giving Biden an “out” while also questioning exactly what is going on.

However, Fauci remains stalwart, arguing that Biden did, in fact, not make any mistakes in his proclamations.

“Jake, I don’t think so. The president was very clear, as was the medical group when we said we are planning to do this, and it was always said, in his official statement, in the official written statement from all of us, including the FDA and the CDC, that was pending, and on the condition of the examination of all of the data by the FDA. It’s understandable how there could have been some confusion, but what was said was pretty clear, Jake.” [Source: Breitbart]

The president was “very clear?” Well, that would be a first.

What is “very clear” is that the administration has bullied the FDA to the point that two officials are resigning in the next few weeks, including Office of Vaccines Research and Review director Marion Gruber and her Deputy Director Phil Krause.

In a statement, it was made clear that COVID measures should be “informed by reliable science” rather than politics.

“Careful and public scrutiny of the evolving data will be needed to assure that decisions about boosting are informed by reliable science more than by politics … Widespread boosting should be undertaken only if there is clear evidence that it is appropriate.” [Source: Fox News]

What is clearly not appropriate is the fact that Fauci is also now floating the possibility of vaccine mandates for domestic flights.

“I would support that if you want to get on a plane and travel with other people that you should be vaccinated.” [Source: Newsmax]

A slippery slope, indeed …
