Kamala Harris Fakes French Accent

Kamala Harris subjected the world to another cringeworthy moment this week, notably when she appeared to affect a French accent while speaking to scientists at a lab in Paris, France.

Harris travelled to France for a four-day trip, which marks her third trip overseas since assuming the vice presidency. Harris is currently in Paris in order to alleviate tensions between the United States and France after French President Emmanuel Macron became enraged with the Biden administration in September.

Australia had previously agreed to a $66B deal with France for a dozen new diesel-electric submarines; however, Australia ultimately scuttled this agreement in favor of a security partnership with the United Kingdom and the United States. The partnership, which is known as AUKUS, would deliver nuclear-powered submarines to Australians.

France assailed AUKUS as a “stab in the back” and promptly recalled its ambassadors to both the United States and Australia. Joe Biden made an effort to smooth relations with Macron by remarking that the United States acted in a “clumsy” manner, given that the submarine agreement was not executed “with a lot of grace.”

Consequently, the objective of Harris’s trip is ostensibly to “build upon [the Biden] administration’s progress strengthening our alliances and partnerships in Europe and around the world.”

Nonetheless, Harris encountered speed bumps earlier this week at a coronavirus lab located at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, namely when she adopted a French accent to explain the difference between science and politics.

“In government, we campaign with ‘The Plan,'” Harris proclaimed, affecting a French accent. “Uppercase T, uppercase P, The Plan!”

Harris continued onward to note that the administration is always expected to defend “The Plan,” even when it is rolled out for the first time.

“There may be some glitches, and it’s time to re-evaluate and then do it again,” Harris added, infusing her commentary with a French accent once again.

Harris’s French accent received widespread mockery on social media.

Monica Crowley, a political commentator, concisely remarked, “hot mess.”

Nathan Brand, the RNC Deputy Communications Director, assailed Harris as “the most cringeworthy politician.”

Mike Pompeo, the former Secretary of State, also informed Fox News that Harris’s behavior is “more than embarrassing on the world stage,” it is also a clear indicator of “weakness” observed by American adversaries.

“They see people who aren’t serious, they see people who aren’t determined,” Pompeo warned, adding that the Biden administration is doing “precisely the opposite” of what the Trump administration had done.

Harris grew up in Berkeley, California until she was twelve years old. She subsequently moved to Canada, which is why she was widely ridiculed for adopting a southern accent during a major campaign event last fall.

In November 2020, Harris faced accusations of adopting a southern accent during a rally in North Carolina at Fayetteville State University.

Just in the past month, Harris also faced accusations of inauthenticity when she made an appearance in a space exploration video with alleged “students.” However, the students were actually child actors who had been hired by Sinking Ship Entertainment production company.

The results of a USA Today/Suffolk University poll reveal that Harris’s approval rating is one of the lowest of all modern vice presidents, falling to a stunning 28 percent. This level surpasses the low 30 percent rating held by Dick Cheney in 2008.

Jimmy Kimmel, a late-night TV host, attempted to make excuses for Harris’s abysmal approval ratings by insisting that “racism” and “sexism” are clearly the “obvious” reasons for why her approval ratings remain staggeringly low. Twitter users subsequently mocked Kimmel’s detachment from reality.
