Psaki Promotes Absurd Theory For Nationwide Crime Surge

While the White House is known for giving its share of ridiculous excuses for crime, the latest nonsense from Psaki really takes the cake.

Recently, a reporter asked Psaki if the “soft on crime” approach adopted by numerous Democrat mayors might, just might, be contributing to frighteningly high levels of crime.

Needless to say, Psaki’s response was less than inspirational.

“I would say, we have seen, I’m not going to attribute the reasoning from here … What I will tell you is we have seen an increase in crime over the course of the pandemic. There are a range of reasons for that.” [Source: Fox News]

“A range of reasons.”

Sure. Assuming these “reasons” start with Biden’s undesirable ascension to the White House in the first place.

After all, it wasn’t Trump who was campaigning on “Defund Police” but Biden and certainly Kamala were. Heck, Kamala personally backed bailing out violent criminals during multiple city riots.

However, ever the revisionists with history, Psaki now claims that Biden is allegedly providing funds to police departments, technically breaking yet another campaign claim, though at least this time he broke his word to criminals.

Assuming, of course, that Psaki is telling the 100% truth in the following statement, which is admittedly unlikely.

“The president has proposed additional funding in the budget to make sure local police departments and cops have the funding they need … We also have worked directly with police departments in areas where they are seeing the highest impact of the crime, the retail theft—which we have great concern about …

That’s what our focus is on currently — is action and doing what we can to make sure the funding is out there to the communities that need it the most.” [Source: Fox News]

So, in other words, Biden has “proposed” funding without the funding apparently surfacing. On top of that, it is unclear from Psaki’s statement whether or not the funding is going to “local police departments” or the more nebulously defined “communities.”

After all, Seattle hired a former pimp to be a “Street Czar” at a $150,000 annual salary to do … it’s unclear exactly what he was meant to do given the escalating crime rates in that city, though it’s clear that leftists manage money less efficiently than your average child receiving a weekly allowance.

One thing is for sure: Leftists would rather pass the buck to someone else for their own horrid policies.

Just consider the utterly absurd response of Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who had the gall to blame retail stores for the thefts.

That’s right: A Democrat Mayor actually had the gall to blame retail outlets for the rise in crime.

“We also got to push retailers … I’m disappointed that they are not doing more to take safety and make it a priority …

For example, we still have retailers that won’t institute plans like having security officers in their stores, making sure that they’ve got cameras that are actually operational, locking up their merchandise at night. Chaining high-end bags, these purses seem to be something that is attracting a lot of attention on these organized retail theft units.” [Source: Fox News]

Democrats are not exactly known for self-awareness, but this statement really takes the cake.

After all, can Lightfoot even remotely claim that she’s made safety “a priority?”

By the way, Lightfoot, retailers don’t have the same access to apparently limitless taxpayer funds that you do … they actually have to pay and invest in measures like the above, which is a tad difficult to do when operating in a virulently anti-business city.

This is a major overseeing the worst homicide rates in recent memory, yet she astonishingly has the gall to blame stores for being robbed by the very criminals she apparently feels deep allegiance to; why else make such public remarks against police?

Then again, the “facts” speak for themselves: 55 percent increase in homicides in 2020, as revealed on January 1, 2021.

A sadly predictable start to a new year in a leftist city.

So, in light of that “fact,” Lightfoot remains “disappointed” that retailers haven’t invested in security appropriate for a U.S. base in a hostile country? As apparently Chicago is the equivalent of a hostile, crime-strewn nation, complete with a distinctly anti-American attitude.

Well guess what, Lightfoot: Retailers are likely “disappointed” that you seem to have a vested interest in keeping incredibly violent criminals out and about roaming the streets, which not only endangers their businesses, but also the lives of everyone

Is that the same kind of “feedback” she’d give about someone brutally murdered in their home? They didn’t have enough “operational” security?

Did it ever occur to the utterly irredeemable leftist that such measures wouldn’t be necessary in a city that actually respects law and order?

So, in conclusion, Psaki can ramble on about a “range of causes” all she’d like, but no matter what “cause” she tries to address, they all have one thing in common:

Every single “root cause” of crime can be directly attributed to Democrats and Democrat “policies.”
