Musk’s Starlink Stokes Fear In Moscow

“If I die under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowin ya.”

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk sent shivers down the spines of many individuals around the world with his chilling message, posted publicly on Twitter and likely in direct reference to the not-so-secret threats that are currently coming his way from Moscow.

Clearly, Starlink as stoked up quite a furor in the Kremlin, wherein Putin, likely palpitating with apocalyptic rage, is furious over the fact that Musk dares to provide humanitarian aid during an international travesty.

Via SpaceX, Musk has supplied Ukrainians with vital Internet services, which of course would enable the nation to broadcast the reality of the situation unfolding daily across the nation.

Moreover, Internet services allow Ukrainians to communicate with loved ones inside and outside the borders, offering small a small consolation against a backdrop of ruin and despair.

Through providing Internet to Ukrainians, Musk is exemplifying his fervent belief in free speech and supply any means necessary to achieve it.

Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Russia’s Space Agency, does not view Musk’s compassion for Ukrainians in the same way, however, arguing instead that Musk is apparently supporting “fascism.”

“[Musk is] involved in supplying the fascist forces in Ukraine with military communication equipment,” Rogozin declared.

Well, that’s just wonderful. Another enraged Kremlin insider.

“From the testimony of the captured commander of the 35th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Dmitry Kormyankov, it turns out that the internet terminals of Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite company were delivered to the militants of the Nazi Azov Battalion and the Ukrainian Marines in Mariupol by military helicopters,” Rogozin continued.

The Avov Battalion has garnered an uncomfortable reputation for some of its membership, chiefly the members who identify as Nazis. These members have claimed that their Nazism is ground in nationalism and that they abhor the genocide, but the explanation is admittedly questionable.

Nonetheless, Rogozin, as well as Russian government generally, is hardly the embodiment of the truth, which means that his claims regarding Starlink highly dubious.

Especially since Russia has a vested interest in totally isolating Ukraine, which would involve cutting off its access to Internet.

And in order to do so, all Rogozin has to do is misrepresent an American citizen’s outreach to Ukraine.

“According to our information, the delivery of the Starlink equipment was carried out by the Pentagon. Elon Musk, thus, is involved in supplying the fascist forces in Ukraine with military communication equipment,” Rogozin continued.

Ah, that’s nice. Way to drag the Pentagon into the mess as well.

If the government could step up the consequences for Russia, that would be great.

Especially after its official has now openly threatened Musk.

“And for this, Elon, you will be held accountable like an adult – no matter how much you’ll play the fool,” Rogozin warned.

Shortly thereafter, Musk issued his ominous tweet, which is unfortunately based partially in reality.

Maye Musk, Elon’s mother, was not amused, remarking, “that’s not funny.”

Musk replied quickly to assuage his mother’s fears, declaring, ““sorry! I will do my best to stay alive.”

Please do so, Mr. Musk. The world needs more “free speech absolutists” … with a heart.
